The Long Dark Society is the official membership program of Long Dark House, created for readers who believe bookstores are more than places to buy books—they are places to gather, discover, and connect.

As a member, you'll help support a woman-owned independent bookstore dedicated to horror, science fiction and other wonderfully strange stories. Your membership helps fund author events, book clubs, community programming, and a welcoming space for readers throughout Alexandria and beyond.

Educator Program

📚 Teachers receive a complimentary Long Dark Society membership.

As part of our commitment to literacy and young readers, educators may request a free annual membership by emailing longdarkhouse@gmail.com with their school affiliation.
